Site.This site was born in 1998 when I set out on a small mission to find some of my old high school friends. I noticed that there were very few sites available to search. Even those that were well known charged a huge fee just to find a person. So I started a small site looking for Class of 1991 from Princess Anne High School. I received so many requests for me to do this for other schools. Before I knew it 5000 people have visited and signed into my interactive site from every school in Virginia Beach. The site was very basic using free Internet tools from around the world wide web. I have helped allot of classes with their reunions and helped hundreds of friends find each other. With this kind of support I decided to create a professional looking site with custom created tools. My first step was to get a home on the web that wont change locations as I move around. So you are looking at http:\\www.vbsalumni.org . The new home of the Virginia Beach Schools Alumni Site. Next was to invent an interactive and secure way of storing names and addresses in a custom built SQL database and make it accessible over the web. I have teamed together with a highly skilled developer and I'm sure you will enjoy and feel secure with your information. I have provided a Help Page. This page will help you through our processes and why things are the way they are in our site. A very important part of this site is the Disclaimer. This states who we are in accordance with and states the rules of this site. Failure to adhere to the disclaimer and rules will result in a bad user experience and ultimately blocked and banned from this site. I have strong confidence that our friends being educated in the best school system in the world would be smart enough to respect our friends and their wishes.
But above all use and enjoy this site as so many have in the past. I will continue to administrate and update this site. It will remain a free site. There is allot of hard work, creativity, development, and maintenance cost that always accompany a well run web site. Donations can be accepted with great thanks. For information on how you can contribute to this site see the information in the Help Page. Donations are not required to enjoy this site. A Yearbook style photo album will be started for anyone who would like to submit pictures. This is fun for posting "Then & Now", "Reunion", and just "Friends" Pictures. In this album we will have a Where are they now" section.
